The Phoenix Club of Jackson is proud to announce the beginning of its new chapter. This organization is dedicated to fundraising and supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi.
As a result of experiences with the original Phoenix Club in Memphis, a group of guys have decided to replicate the mission in Mississippi. Strong Phoenix Clubs have recently been created in Nashville, Birmingham, and Denver as Memphis Phoenicians relocated and hoped to recreate clubs in new cities.
The Phoenix Club of Jackson will raise money for the wonderful kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi through various social events throughout the year. As membership grows, additional efforts will be created including a Holiday Gift Card Campaign, a 5-K Race, and monthly business lunches.
Joining the Club offers a myriad of benefits including meeting great friends, building business relationships with the city’s movers, shakers, and leaders, and attending events like cocktail parties, business lunches, and golf outings.
The Phoenix Club of Memphis remains a strong provider of funding and personal services to the Boys and Girls Clubs. Over the past 10 years,, the annual cash contributions by the Phoenix Club to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis have ranged from $146,000 to $175,000. The Phoenix Club of Jackson has a goal of raising over $100,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi before 2012.
